A Hit of Opinion: Boardwalk Empire - What Did You Think?!

So, Boardwalk Empire premiered last night on premium channel HBO, which of course means I was unable to watch it. I want to know what people thought, so please tell me! I already have one SEE IT! What does everyone else think??

  1. I think I was the one who told you to see it! Anyway, I've been waiting ever-so-patiently for this show to premier--mostly because I think Scorsese is genius. I thought Boardwalk Empire captured the 1920s quite well. The set, music, and scenes really hit the nail on the head. From knowing a lot of the history during the Prohibition era, I was able to make many connections while watching the show. I don't think you need to know much about the era to enjoy the show, but it was interesting to see how it all fits together. There were some uncomfortable moments, or maybe tense is a better word, but I think that attributes to the quality of the show. Furthermore, Steve Buscemi truly fits his character (Enoch Thompson). It was good to see him as something more than a "goofy" Adam Sandler movie character. I am curious to see how this show progresses over the season.
